i got this because i was disappointed in the quality of the last 2 food processors which i used primarily for grating cheeses. this is easy to use and takes up less space in the cabinet and in the dishwasher. i liked it so much i sent one to each of my grown sons. i have been using it for awhile now and have not had any issues with losing suction or poor grating quality. yes, some cheese gets smeared down the side and doesn't grate, but the same thing happens with all graters.
This is so handy and so easy to use and put together as well as take apart! Love that there is a box to hold the extra cutting pieces. It shreds veggies and different things with ease I like it way better than electrical!
I love this thing. I now shred an entire block of cheese, freeze loose until solid, and store in a container or plastic freezer bag in the freezer. This way I can have different varieties of cheese ready for cooking when I am in the mood. I never have to get out a grater and grate...grate...grate...while the cheese block disintegrates in my hand. Setup is fast, and using it is even faster. It comes with 5 different blade sets, so you can not only shred, but make thin slices, wavy slices, and julienne. It's great for making julienne zucchini, beets, carrots, etc.

We used to buy bagged shredded cheese and then because we were looking to cut back on sodium that is higher in pre shredded cheese bought this. The suction to the counter is strong! I haven’t used all the blades yet but the ones I have are easy to install and take out. The grader is dishwasher safe and easy to clean. Takes us very little space and the case for the blades is nice so they don’t get lost. We use ours at least 3 times a week. We have used the grader for cheese, cooked chicken, carrots, potatoes, cucumber and nuts.
